HKIA Historical Garden and Ancient Kiln Park
The HKIA Historical Garden and Ancient Kiln Park are enchanting heavens that showcase a variety of flowering plants, including the Spider Tree, Golden Rain Tree, Yellow Trumpet Tree, Chinese Ixora and Hong Kong Hawthorn. These flowers bloom in succession throughout the seasons, bringing vivid palettes and dynamic energy to the landscape of the airport island.
Nestled on the historic ruins of Ha Lo Wan, located southwest of Chek Lap Kok, both the HKIA Historical Garden and the Ancient Kiln Park offer a glimpse into the past. Here, you can find Hong Kong's first Yuan Dynasty-era casting furnace that was unearthed on the airport island; alongside the gigantic components used in the construction of Hong Kong International Airport and its Third Runway.
In addition to the beautiful green vistas, visitors can explore the parks' cultural relics and outdoor recreation and sports facilities. Alongside the airport jogging trail, the parks feature fitness amenities and yoga platforms that incorporate artistic elements, providing visitors with serene spaces to rejuvenate their body, mind and spirit.
