About
Lebbeck Tree's expansive canopy provides shade during the hot summer months. Its relatively long flowering period, lasting from early to mid-summer, features mildly fragrant blossoms that contribute to its popularity as a street or ornamental tree. The tree's hard, shiny, striped timber is resistant to decay, making it ideal for furniture and construction materials. Additionally, its leaves can serve as stock feed. Apart from being a food source for the larvae of the narrow-spotted anchovy butterfly, the tree is a nectar source that benefits the biodiversity of urban forests.
