HKIA is transforming into an Airport City, poised to become a new landmark in the region. In line with this exciting development, Airport Authority Hong Kong launched a comprehensive landscaping enhancement initiative in 2019. The project aims to beautify key areas around the airport island, including Airport Road, the roadside greenery surrounding the expanded Terminal 2, and Scenic Hill.
Our primary objective is to elevate the airport island's aesthetic charm as the gateway connecting Hong Kong to the world. By introducing a diverse range of plant species, we are creating a breathtaking oasis of colours and lush greenery. This initiative not only cultivates a welcoming and lively atmosphere for travellers, but also strengthens the bonds between airport visitors, the airport community and Hong Kong citizens.
